Eight events to watch this summer

With the Florida Gators on a hiatus from competitive action for the time being, this time of the year can become the real dog days of summer for Gators fans starving for their Orange-and-Blue fix.

Spring sports have long since past, and while Will Muschamp’s team is working hard to prepare for next season, Florida football still has quite a bit of time before kicking off the season.

Florida’s first football game, against Bowling Green, is now eight Saturdays away. To help pass the time until then, Gator Country is taking a look at eight key sporting events set to take place between now and Sept. 1.
