ShareTurgeon triples Gators past ‘Noles
JACKSONVILLE -- Florida fans gathered by the first base dugout, clamoring for autographs on baseballs, hats and posters from an unassuming hero after a 4-1 victory against Florida State.
Casey Turgeon, who quietly goes about his business and starts at second base in his first season at Florida, had reason to cater to the enthused crowd.
His sixth-inning triple over the outstretched glove of a diving James Ramsey in centerfield gave Florida a 2-1 lead vs. Florida State, which brought the sellout crowd and Florida dugout into controlled hysteria.
