Lewis Brinson drafted 29th overall

The Texas Rangers drafted outfielder Lewis Brinson with the 29th overall pick in the first round of the 2012 MLB Draft.

Brinson, a 6-foot-4, 190-pounder from Coral Springs, Fla., was the first Florida signee taken in the draft.

The Under Armour All-American is known for speed in the outfield as he runs the 60-yard dash in 6.5 seconds, which is one of the fastest in the country.
