Kent State topples top-seeded Florida

With the season on the line, Florida and Kent State squared off in a do-or-die game Monday afternoon.

As the No. 1 overall seed, Florida entered the 2012 College World Series as the proverbial Goliath. A team full of talent seemingly destined to win the program’s first national championship.

Kent State represented David, a team that entered the day never having won a College World Series game.

Kent State beat Florida. David slayed Goliath.
