ShareHudson Randall drafted in 7th round
Florida already had three pitchers selected in the 2012 MLB Draft, and it didn’t take long for the Gators to have another arm called on Tuesday afternoon.
Junior right-hander Hudson Randall was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the seventh round with the 244th overall pick, making him the sixth underclassman selected so far.
Randall’s stock fell somewhat after he lost some velocity on his fastball following an injury early in the year that caused him to miss a few starts.
