ShareGators ‘excited’ for No. 1 overall seed
Minutes before Florida was selected as the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Baseball Championship on Monday, Gators coach Kevin O’Sullivan wasn’t wondering what other three teams would be in the Gainesville Regional.
With steady rain coming down since Sunday afternoon. O’Sullivan was checking the local radar to see if a break in the storm would allow his players to take grounders on the infield.
Top-seeded Florida (42-18) will play Bethune-Cookman (34-25) at 7 p.m. on Friday at McKethan Stadium while second-seeded Georgia Tech (36-24) will open the double-elimination tournament against third-seeded College of Charleston (37-20) at 1 p.m.
ESPN3 will broadcast every game of the Gainesville Regional.
