Gators blast Eagles

Anytime the mercy rule is invoked it’s a real confidence builder for one club and flat depressing for the other. That was the case today in Florida’s 15-2 pasting of Eastern Michigan at McKethan Stadium in the first game of an unscheduled doubleheader. The game between the two clubs was postponed last night due to rain. The 10 run mercy rule was invoked because the Gators were crushing the Eagles and due to the frigid temperatures that settled into the Gainesville area.
