ShareGamecocks stop streaking Gators
Florida baseball coach Kevin O’Sullivan wasn’t too talkative in his postgame interview after a 9-3 loss at No. 8 South Carolina on Thursday night.
Who could blame him after watching his team’s 18-game winning streak come to an end in the Southeastern Conference series opener against the Gamecocks. It certainly didn’t help O’Sullivan’s mood that the loss came against the team that beat Florida in last season’s College World Series final.
“It was a great ballgame — we just kind of let that seventh inning slip away from us,” O’Sullivan said. “But it was one game. Obviously, we’ll come back tomorrow ready to go.”
