The Gators went through the motions at the plate yet again on Sunday, and even a game-tying groundout in the bottom of the 8th inning wasn’t enough to wake the team from its collective slump at the plate.

Razorbacks pitcher DJ Baxendale took full advantage of the Gators’ slump at the plate to pitch 7.1 innings, giving up just one run on five hits as Arkansas (31-13, 11-10 SEC) topped Florida (33-12, 12-9 SEC) in the series finale with a 3-1, 10-inning win in Gainesville.

“It’s been hard for us to score runs,” coach Kevin O’Sullivan said. “Teams go through this. We’re not immune to it.”
