Egg Hunt highlights Gator Baseball’s promotional slate for Alabama weekend

The University Athletic Association, Inc. (UAA) has many promotional activities scheduled for the weekend of April 22-24 but the highlight is an Egg Hunt for children ages 12 and under prior to the Gator baseball game versus Alabama on Saturday, April 23.

The event will take place on the Sanders Practice Field at 5:15 p.m. The hunt will be open to children 12 and under and will be divided into four age groups (3 and under, 4-6 years old, 7-9 years old and 10-12 years old). Collection bags will be provided courtesy of the Gator SportShop.

Other promotional activities scheduled for the weekend include Pack the Park coupons, which offer buy one, get one free offers for the Friday and Saturday night baseball games, available at Verizon Wireless stores in Gainesville, FL (3300 SW Archer Road and 6921 Newberry Road stores).

Friday night’s first pitch is set for 7 p.m.; Friday is Pepsi Family Night; fans can purchase four general admission tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for only $20. Fans can also receive free admission by bringing four (4) canned goods to donate to Bread of the Mighty Food Bank. Also, all UF students who wear their Bleacher Creature student section t-shirts will be eligible to win gift certificates during the game.

Saturday night’s first pitch is set for 6 p.m.; in addition to the aforementioned egg hunt, all UF Alumni Association members with valid ID will receive free general admission. It is also UF Faculty and Staff Night; UF faculty and staff members will be sent a coupon with a buy one general admission ticket, get one free offer to their campus mailbox.

The series wraps up Sunday at 1 p.m. Sunday’s are Family Sunday’s; all general admission tickets, small popcorn and sodas are one dollar each. Prior to the game, all kids 12 and under can run onto the field and stand with the players for the playing of the National Anthem. Immediately following the game, Gator players will be available to sign autographs.
