A Gator Country exclusive 120 photos from the UF baseball team's 2-1 win against the FGCU Eagles on Tuesday. In a game that only lasted an hour and fifty minutes, two minutes short of a school record, a lot of action was packed in. Both teams got excellent pitching and made several outstanding defensive plays.

Florida sophomore shortstop Cole Figeuroa drove in both Gators runs by hitting a solo home run in the fourth inning and hitting a sacrifice fly to score the winning run in the eighth inning.

Senior pitchers Stephen Locke and Josh Edmondson pitched very well. Edmondson earned the win out of the bullpen by throwing three no-hit scoreless innings. Locke struck out five batters and did not allow a walk in six innings of work.

Senior first baseman Brandon McArthur batted 2-for-2 to break out of a recent slump, and junior Avery Barnes scored the winning run after hitting a one-out triple in the eighth inning.
